Overseas Qualifications Assessment Stage 1 and 2 – Combined Assessment

Fast-track assessment of qualifications for applicant resident in Australia

Applicants resident in Australia seeking to have their overseas architecture qualification assessed to gain entry to the Architectural Practice Exam are eligible to submit a Combined Assessment Application, reducing both costs and processing time.

Applicants may also use the outcome of the AACA’s assessment of their qualification to support applications for the purpose of migration to Australia under the Australian Government Skilled Migration Program, for the occupation ‘Architect’, ANZSCO code 232111.

AACA only assesses completed architectural qualifications obtained by coursework.

Applicants must have completed an architectural qualification awarded by institutions outside of Australia, be resident in Australia, hold a visa that includes work rights and meet English Proficiency requirements as outlined in the Guide for applicants.

If applicants have already completed the AACA’s Stage 1 Overseas Qualifications Assessment, only Stage 2 needs to be completed. Detailed guidance and link to the application form for Stage 2 can be found here.

Detailed guidance for Overseas Qualifications Assessment Stage 1 and 2 – Combined Assessment can be found here.

You can access the Online Application Form from the AACA Forms and Fees page.
