Changes to the validity period of the Skills Migration Assessment

PLEASE NOTE:

From 1 July 2014, if a skills assessment is mandatory as part of a visa application, it will only be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issue, or a shorter validity period if specified on the assessment.

·         For points-tested visas, applications made before 1 July 2014 will not be affected by this change.

·         For Employer Sponsored or subclass 485  visas, applications made before 1 July 2014 will not be affected by this change.

·         Subclass 457 applications will not be affected by this change.
