Australia has a recognition agreement under the APEC Architect Agreement with Canada.

Australian architects who wish to apply for registration in Canada must first apply to become an Australian APEC Architect with the AACA, before submitting an application to the Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA) / Regroupement des ordres d’architectes du Canada (ROAC)

Canadian architects who wish to apply for registration in Australia must include an APEC Architect Certificate from Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA) / Regroupement des ordres d’architectes du Canada (ROAC). A supplementary assessment will be required before candidates can be registered in Australia.
