Seeking new staff to join the AACA team

The Architects Accreditation Council of Australia, the national voice for architect registration boards around Australia.

We currently have two positions available. We are looking for people who enjoy working in a small busy office environment and have high level interpersonal and communication skills as you will be working with applicants, architect assessors and architect registration boards.

 

Overseas Qualifications Assessment Officer

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • sound research and analytical skills
  • ability to take responsibility, work independently and prioritise work
  • well-developed communication skills
  • advanced computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (essential) and websites (desirable)
  • knowledge of higher education and qualifications assessment
  • knowledge of accreditation programs and systems

Duties include:

  • responding to general queries and provide eligibility and submission advice to applicants
  • processing qualifications assessment applications as part of the assessment team, leading the Overseas Qualifications Assessment Program
  • liaising with external and preparing reports as required
  • assisting across other programs as required
  • communicating about AACA programs in a variety of media

 

Office Manager/Projects Co-ordinator (temporary role for 12 months)

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • strong customer service focus, with a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy
  • excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with proven ability to prioritise, coordinate and organise resources
  • advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and database management
  • an ability to prepare high quality presentation materials
  • high level attention to detail
  • excellent office system organisation skills

Duties include:

  • providing the first point of contact by phone and email to AACA clients
  • providing project administration support across AACA programs
  • co-ordinating all services and office maintenance
  • maintaining office records and contacts
